At MISS FOX, we pride ourselves on offering the best in customer care. Please make yourself aware of our policies, which have been designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit for all guests.

Age Requirement

The comfort and safety of our everyone in our venue is important to us. We do not allow babies, children and guests under the age of 18 to accompany parents to appointments, make bookings, or otherwise stay in the facilities. 

Group bookings

To maintain our desired level of personalisation, our maximum group size for any bookings is 2 guests.

Booking and Changing appointments

Call us on (+61 3) 9028 0350 or 1300647736 to book all appointments. A credit card, gift card or prepayment is required at the time of booking to hold all appointments. Any changes or cancellations to the reservation must be communicated at least 24 hours prior to your reservation via phone or email to enquiries@missfox.com.au. Group bookings require prepayment and 72 hours cancellation notice. Respectfully, late cancellations or changes incur the full appointment fee unless the place can be refilled.

Arrival

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. If you are late for a scheduled appointment we may need to shorten or cancel your treatment and the full scheduled appointment fee may still apply.

Treatment Preparation

Please arrive at your appointment with clean skin. We provide refresher towels for you to use to freshen up with in private prior to waxing or tanning treatment. Your therapist will use warm towels or soaks to cleanse your feet before any massage and spa body treatments. We recommend that men shave the morning of their scheduled facial. To prepare for tanning, exfoliate skin well and avoid perfumes and moisturisers on the day of treatment. For all makeup and lash treatments please arrive without makeup. For polish pedicures, please ensure you bring open-toes shoes to wear home, as polish takes several hours to fully cure.

Comfort

Whether it’s the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure, number of pillows or conversation level, please notify us of any preferences. Our qualified therapists are trained to respect your comfort and privacy. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Disposable undergarments are provided for massage and body treatments.

Mobile Phones / Technology

To preserve the tranquility of the spa, we respectfully request that mobiles be turned to silent when you enter the Spa. If you would like to share your experience pre or post treatment, our social media handle for Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest is @missfoxmelb.

Spa Etiquette

Whilst in our venue, we ask that you kindly respect our staff, facilities, spa policies and the enjoyment of other guests. We operate a very positive, professional and loving environment. Please note that entry to MISS FOX and invitations to rebook are at our discretion.

Staff

All MISS FOX therapists are certified in their respective services. You will always be treated by a caring, qualified professional. All staff in our spa department are female. Should your preferred therapist be unavailable on the day of your treatment, they will be replaced with an equally caring and qualified member of our team.

Stairs

Due to multiple staircases and lack of lifts, MISS FOX is unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams, bikes and heavy luggage, or for some elderly or mobility-impaired guests. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

Special Considerations

For any additional dietary requirements, allergies, conditions (including pregnancy) or disabilities not advised at the time of making the reservation, please contact us so we can assist in making the appropriate choices or modifications. Whilst all care is taken, MISS FOX can not guarantee any of our treatments (or catering) are completely free from traces of allergens, or appropriate for any medical condition. Please seek prior advice from your doctor or healthcare professional. Patients being treated for chronic medical conditions or cancer should provide a written clearance from their doctor.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Due to increased sensitivity and various hormonal changes during pregnancy, there are some treatment contraindications and special precautions for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. We recommend that you check with your doctor on your individual needs prior to booking any treatment. 

During the first trimester (12 weeks), we are able to offer the following services:

  • Spray Tanning (hormonal changes during pregnancy may affect the development of the tan).
  • Classic Manicure/Pedicure with Kester Black polishes (minus massage).
  • All hair services (hormonal changes may affect the development of hair colour. Expect increased sensitivity/risk). 
  • Lash and Brow Tinting and Perming (hormonal changes during pregnancy may affect the development of tints/perms). A test patch is required 48 hours prior for tinting, even if tinting has been performed prior.

After the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding, we offer:

  • Massages (minus aromatherapy/deep tissue work). No body wraps/baths/facials.
  • Waxing (expect increased sensitivity/risk).
  • Manicures and pedicures (expect increased sensitivity/risk). 
  • Spray Tanning (hormonal changes may affect the development of the tan. Breast area must be avoided during breastfeeding).
  • All hair services (hormonal changes may affect the development of hair colour. Expect increased sensitivity/risk). 
  • Makeup application, colour matching and lessons.
  • Lash and Brow Tinting and Perming (hormonal changes during pregnancy may affect the development of tints/perms). A test patch is required 48 hours prior for tinting, even if tinting has been performed prior.

An additional consent form must be signed to proceed for all pregnant and breastfeeding guests. Due to manufacturers instruction all other treatments including facials, peels, laser, gel polish and clinic treatments are contraindicated during pregnancy. If you have any concerns regarding sensitivity, please consult your doctor prior to booking.

Health

Prior to any treatment, please use our consultation forms to disclose to MISS FOX your medical history, including any medical conditions, pre-existing injuries, infectious diseases, skin conditions, allergies, and pregnancy. If your health conditions have changed since first completing the forms, please advise us as soon as possible and prior to your next treatment to allow us to make the necessary adjustments. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.

MISS FOX is not a medical centre and can not offer advice regarding the suitability or appropriateness of any of our treatments for any medical condition or compatibility with any prescription or professionally administrated medication. Any information provided by MISS FOX, including by its employees or agents, should not be construed as a substitute for professional medical advice. MISS FOX can refuse you treatment if we deem that any of your medical conditions may cause harm to you, our staff or other clients. You release MISS FOX, its employees, agents and third party providers, from all responsibility and liability for any death, injury, loss, delay, inconvenience or damage caused by the treatment, even if you provide MISS FOX with a 'medical clearance' from a medical practitioner allowing the treatment, or if you misrepresent or fail to disclose to MISS FOX your medical conditions or changes to your medical history prior to any treatment.

Security Policy

Gift Cards

Gift cards are valid for 12 months and can be redeemed for the treatment/s nominated, or the original card purchase value can be used towards other services of choice. Gift Card numbers should be quoted at the time of booking your appointment and presented on arrival. Should you provide less than 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment booked using a gift card, the cost of the treatment(s) booked may be deduced from the card balance. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase products, gift cards or discounted packages/ promotions. Please keep your card safe as it can not be replaced if lost of stolen.

Delivery Policy

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details (if you have provided your email address). We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering. We will attempt to send your goods via Express or Parcel post on the same or next business day as your order; however if goods are unavailable delivery will take a little longer. 

When ordering over the phone, a tax invoice will be posted with your order. For orders over $100 value, we use registered, insured delivery. For international postage, please contact us for a quote.

Refund & Returns Policy

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we offer a 30 day money-back guarantee from the time you receive the goods. Please email us at management@missfox.com.au within that time if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been worn or used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition.

As an exception, if you have had a reaction to any product you have used and would like an exchange or refund, we generally require a form to be completed for reporting to the manufacturer. 

All return postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer but may be refunded in the case of any fault on our part. We recommend that you return the product via insured, registered post. You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit; therefore advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier.
