At MISS FOX, it is our policy to ensure all lash extensions are styled to look beautifully natural and maintain the health of your natural lashes. We can extend lashes up to 2mm greater than your natural length and one level up in thickness, so that they are safe for your natural lashes, hold well, and look beautifully realistic.
Delicate mink-style synthetic lashes, custom matched to your own natural curl and thickness, are grafted with specialised glue on to each individual natural eyelash on a hair-by-hair basis. The size of your eyelid, you natural lash shape and condition of your lashes will determine, to some extent, how many lashes can be applied and the speed at which they can be applied. The relaxing process involves laying down with eyes closed for 30-90 minutes. In comparing salons, remember to ask how many lashes per eye you should expect to get with a full set (some lash technicians who offer full sets only apply 30 lashes per eye - we offer up to 100 in a full set and hundreds for a Classic/Volume Mix set.

LASH EXTENSION REFILLS
Lash extensions fall out when your natural lashes fall, which happens naturally at a rate of a few per day for each eye. Touch ups or refills are required every 2 to 3 weeks in order to replenish the fallen lashes and keep them looking full. Refills take approximately 30-45 minutes and time will be taken for any required lash maintenance. The better your home care routine, the more time we have to apply lashes at your appointment (versus time spent cleaning and straightening lashes).
Your home care will affect how long your lashes last, and it is important to follow your therapists instructions, and especially to avoid the use of traditional mascara or oil-containing makeup or removers which will dissolve the lash adhesive. See Before and Aftercare advice and home care below.
15 minute Refill Classic $50
30 minute Refill Classic $75
45 minute Refill Classic $110 / Volume Mix $130
60 minute Refill Classic $130 / Volume Mix $150
*We want your lashes to look fabulous all the time - our reputation depends on it! If you have lost a lot of lashes within a short amount of time please contact us right away to troubleshoot on lifestyle and homecare that may have to be adjusted to suit lash extensions, and to also review the upcoming refill appointment as extra time may be required. Lash sets that have fallen to due to incorrect homecare attract a replacement fee. Refills after 4 weeks will generally require a new set to be applied. If you still have some lashes on at that time, please also book a removal.
LASH EXTENSION PROFESSIONAL REMOVAL
Lash extensions are removed using a special adhesive-dissolving paste whilst laying down with eyes closed. Please do not try and remove lashes yourself at home; you may risk temporarily or permanently damaging your lashes or hair follicles, which will affect future growth.
$75 30m *or FREE before a new Full Set (replaces free refill offer)
HOME CARE FOR LASH EXTENSIONS
Generally, waterproof mascara, oil-based mascaras and eyeliners, and oil-containing cleansers will weaken the bond of the lash extensions. Use our gentle eye make-up remover and brush for cleansing and makeup removal.
CLEAN MASCARA WAND IN CASE
These mini wands are great to use daily to brush the lashes into shape. Replace every few months for hygiene.
$8 *FREE with all Full Sets (subject to availability)
LASH EXTENSION BLACK MASCARA
This specially formulated mascara can be used if you still feel the need to wear mascara. This mascara is water-washable and will not compromise the lash extensions bond. It should be applied to the tips of the lashes only, and can be used on the lower lashes. *Do not use standard mascaras or makeup removers with lash extensions as they will dissolve the lash adhesive and your lashes will fall out.
LASH CLEANSING BRUSH
A luxurious cleanse. This brush has thousands of soft bristles fine enough to glide through your extensions, reaching the very base of your lash line. The Brush pairs beautifully with our Lash Cleanser and foaming bottle, giving your lashes a deep cleanse while removing excess natural oil, skin cells, dirt and debris. Perfect for removing eye make, this brush is the perfect alternative to cotton pads and cotton tips, products which should be kept far away from your eyelash extensions!
Our Lash Cleanser is pH balanced and protects your skin from being stripped of its natural oils and gives your lashes a deep cleanse while removing excess oil, skin cells, dirt and debris. Pure and gentle enough to use on your entire face, it is the perfect partner for your eyelash extensions. Doubles as an eye makeup remover.
- Simply place 2-3 drops of cleanser on a wet hand and work into a lather, or pump 1 pump of foam from your Foam dispenser pump.
Apply cleanser around the eyes, gently rolling the eyelash extensions between your finger tips from base to tip, removing makeup, and protein build up.
If using the recommended cleansing brush, in a downward brushing motion, gently brush your eyelash extensions with the brush. Rinse well with clean water, and gently pat dry.
If using the Foaming bottle, simply mix 1 part of Lash Cleanser with 2 parts water into the bottle.
We recommend a double cleanse if wearing makeup.
*Protect your investment: Do not use standard makeup removers or cleansers with lash extensions as they will dissolve the lash adhesive and may require you to purchase a new set.
$34.95 or $39.95 with refillable foam dispenser pump bottle
PRE AND POST CARE FOR LASH EXTENSIONS
Lashes need care to protect your investment. It is necessary to avoid or modify some products and processes as they will loosen the adhesive bond of the extension, spoil the effect and/or shorten the life of your lashes.
- Please remove all eye makeup prior to your first full set appointment so that we can spend more time applying lashes, rather than cleaning them. This also improves the bond and longevity of your full set.
- An eyelash tint will be required for fair lashes as the natural lashes will still be visible post-extensions. Please tint the lashes at least 48 hours prior to avoid interaction with the lash extension adhesive.
- For the first 24 hours avoid getting the lashes wet to allow the glue to completely dry.
- Do not use a steam room or sauna for the first 48 hours to allow glue to cure.
- Be gentle and respect your new lashes. Avoid rubbing your eyes and do not pick and play with your lashes.
- Resist the temptation to touch or pull at your new lashes as this may pull out your own natural lashes.
- Avoid getting lashes caught on clothes and cloths/towels.
- When drying your face do not "rub" it, instead blot your face and apply a gently pressure to your closed eyes then allow the extensions to dry naturally. Don't try to dry them with a towel or hair dryer.
- Generally, waterproof mascara, oil-based mascaras and eyeliners, and oil-containing cleansers will weaken the bond of the lash extensions. Use our gentle eye make-up remover and remover brush for makeup removal. Always remove eye shadow in a side and upward movement, not down onto the eyelash extensions. Wiping down towards the lashes will cause a build up of makeup on the lashes and may lessen the life of them.
- Do not perm, tint or curl the extensions using a clamp or heated eyelash curler.
- Avoid wearing mascara or glaze unless necessary as this will lessen the life of your extensions. Even Lash Extension mascaras/glaze are is better left for special occasions.
- Do not use eye make-up remover that contains any type of oil product, such as petroleum.
- Avoid oily or waterproof eye liner pencils or eye makeup. We recommend liquid/gel liners over oily/waxy pencils.
- Do keep the eye area clean. This is very important. Some ladies love their lashes so much they don't even want to get them wet at all. Avoiding proper hygiene can result in an eye infection whether wearing eyelash extensions or not.
- Try and sleep on your back to avoid crushing your extensions in the pillow.
The golden rule for wearing eyelash extensions is the less you touch them the longer they will last. However, it is important to keep the eye area clean.
HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR LASH EXTENSIONS
Lash extensions are considered safe when application is undertaken by a trained professional. All lash technicians at MISS FOX are experienced and certified lash technician trained in the correct technique needed to apply the lashes safely and without irritation to the eye or skin. The surrounding eye area is secured and well protected with soft adhesive pads or tape. The eyes are closed throughout the whole procedure.
The lash extension is applied on the natural eyelash, approximately 1mm from the eyelid so neither the glue or the lash has contact with the skin. The bonding agent is extremely strong and should not touch the skin. Lash extensions applied too close or touching the skin are an irritant and represent incorrect application.
It is important to have your lash extensions applied by a qualified operator who uses a quality product. Lash extensions at MISS FOX are light and put the same pressure on the lash as wearing mascara. You must avoid pulling on the lash extensions. The eyelashes have a cycle and lashes are constantly being replaced, just like your hair. If you pull so hard on an extension lash and pull out your own natural lash, there will be no new lash ready to grow to take its place, and you would need to wait 6-8 weeks for the lash to grow back. Please always treat your lashes with care.
The lash glue and remover have a very low incidence of allergic reaction as they do not technically touch the skin. Whilst we take great care to ensure that the adhesive and adhesive remover do not come in contact with the skin or eyes, in some individuals who are particularly sensitive they may find that the fumes or microscopic residues of the adhesive or removal products still irritate eyes or the surrounding area. In these cases the lashes should be removed immediately for safety. The smell of the glue can be slightly irritating to very sensitive noses or eyes.
Lash extensions may not suit you if:
You often rub your eyes due to allergies such as hay fever, or out of habit (this will cause lashes to fall off or twist).
In the past you have experienced sensitivity around the eye area after using skin care or makeup, or you generally have sensitivity around the eye area (you may be sensitive to the application process or cause stress to an already sensitive area).
You use prescribed medicated eye drops or ointment (this may coat the lashes and cause them to clump).
You have very curly eyelashes (it will be difficult to glue an extension on).
You don't want to change your current makeup or cleansing routine (without the correct home care lashes will not last).
You live or work in an environment that exposes you to a lot of heat or oil (eg. kitchens with fryers, or work that requires heavy creams or makeup on the face that can travel to the lash area).
You have naturally oily lashes or eyelids (excessive natural oils can weaken the adhesive bond).
If you are unsure please contact MISS FOX to discuss.
