"Ok, just to get it out of the way: MISS FOX DOES AMAZEBALLS SHELLAC. The photos below were taken this morning, 10 days after the initial application of Shellac.  Aside from my nails growing out, the finish is as good today as it was on the Wednesday it was applied.  It is still shiny, glossy and – try as I might – I can’t find a single place where it is lifting.  There is minor tip wear you can see, but it’s negligible. Simply put though, the experience at Miss Fox is sublime.  Professional, courteous and the application I cannot fault. So as it turns out, my hometown of 3000ville, all of a sudden has more going for it than the usual bragged-about culdshaaa (or ‘culture’) synonymous with galleries and narrow cobblestone streets. Turns out we also have an enviable beauty heartbeat going on too. Tada! It all started a couple of weeks back when I fell head over heels in love with a little beauty parlour that goes by the name of Miss Fox. And while I could bang on for hours about the salon’s retro-clad furnishings and beyond helpful staff, the real hook for me was discovering a skincare brand from Dubai, called Shiffa (meaning to heal), which Miss Fox houses exclusively in Australia. I’ve been using the Tamanu (Dubaian for privatebeachresortsomeoneshouldtakemetoo) Moisturising Cream and not only has it succeeded in convincing me I no longer need eight glasses of water a day, but it’s also taken me to mind numbing states of euphoria via smell. This was apparently the plan according to founder Dr. Lamees Hamdan, who wanted to give birth to a range combining holistic healing, science and nature.
